Day Thirteen

Our Studio in Laguna Beach

As I signed into Chris's 4:30 class tonight, he asked me what my t-shirt size was.

The 30 day participants will be getting t-shirts!  And a party!

It made me realize how long it's been since I've been involved in any kind of organized event.  All those many years I spent in Corporate America were filled with competitions, contests, who's-better-than who. how much money did you make this year, whose numbers are the highest and how many people do I have to climb over on the ladder to success.

While this is not exactly a competition, I have to admit that I'm having fun being a part of something again.  One of my goals in the 30 day challenge was simply to commit to something.  A competition with yourself is all there ever really is.  The rewards are there.  My spine feels stronger, my balancing postures are coming along better and I'm really listening - maybe for the first time in awhile - to the specific instruction the teacher is giving me.

So what if Trish and Dave are duking it out to see who can get 30 classes first?  Competition makes you better.  Give one a try.  Who knows?  You may even get a t-shirt and a party.

  1. Love it!
Tried to post before so hope it is not a repeat.
Am starting yoga again this year as it is great for surfing and general awesomeness. Bikram, not yet, almost tempting

    Enjoy, hugs and smiles,
    Sabrina

Let's go to yoga together. That's exactly why Kerry is there - it helps his surfing.
