With the new year upon us, it's time to dust off the old bad habits and pick up some new bad habits - oh say an addiction to Bikram Yoga.
It's been awhile since I've had (perish the thought) New's Year's Resolutions.
So when the owner of the Bikram Yoga Studio that I love here in Laguna Beach mentioned that she was putting on a 30 day yoga challenge - that means 30 classes in 30 days, I thought why not?
What do I need to do to prepare? First step is to get a bikini wax. I'll be spending lots of time in the locker room and I've noticed that all the cool chicks have their pubic hair fashionably coiffed.
Next, simply show up.
What do I hope to accomplish? I haven't commited to anything in awhile and folks keep crowing about the benefits of commitment, so I figured I'd give the C word a try for a change.
Mostly, I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe, through repetition, this kick butt, 90 minute in a 105 degree heated, humidified room workout will become a teensy bit easier.
We shall find out as it goes along. The challenge starts January 2nd. Stay tuned.
